And we never miss an opportunity to have our little one participate in our fun makings.

Ready in: 60 Min (15 Prep 45 Dry) | Complexity: Easy
Ingredients
  • 1 12-ounce package white chocolate chips (Chocolate Melts)
  • 30 small pretzel rods
  • Blue and Red sprinkles
  • 1 tsp Crisco (If needed)
Patriotic Pretzels Serving
Directions
  1. Place the chocolate chips Melts in a microwave-safe bowl, microwave on high for 60 seconds, remove and stir, the chips should melt entirely as you move them, if they don't, put bowl again in microwave for 10 seconds, if the chips are to stiff add 1/2 tsp of crisco (add the other half if needed)
  2. Ones the chip have melted to a creamy consistency, you are good to start coating
  3. To start coating just grab one pretzel rod and dip it into the bowl with the chocolate
  4. If you like your chocolate coat to be think you may coat them twice letting them dry in between. This time we just did one coat
  5. And before we set them to a side we sprinkled them with red and blue sprinkles
  6. Set the chocolate covered rods to a side and let them cool down for 40 to 45 minutes

Then they are ready to be served or packed, they make nice clear goody bags or snack serving for the 4th of July. These pretzels are a big hit at our house.
As always our Little Helper (Kira) is hands on with the preparation.
