February is the second month of the year, yet did you know that it is the third month of Summer of the Meteorological Winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
And did you know that in leap years is the only month of the year that begins and ends in the same day of the week.
February is the month of love, Saint Valentine's Day is coming up. I was first introduced to this day many years ago and back home we mainly called it Friendship day and February was the Friendship month.
When I was growing up, February was a fun month, we would make little friendship cards and would buy little gifts (similar to favors) and give them among our friend. As I look back I think of that time as one that was very dear and beautiful and I think this is something I eventually would like to come back to.
I wonder if this day or month means something different in other cultures?
Are customs similar or maybe very different from what we know and do for Valentine's?
Do you do anything special for this time of the year?
Remember,
Arnold H. Glasgow ones said:
A loyal friend laughs at your jokes when they're not so good,
and sympathizes with your problems when they're not so bad.
And I always say that:
Real Friends are forever!.
You don't need to see them every day.
You don't need to talk to them every day.
You don't need to know every single detail of their life.
But everything that you know about them is as special as if it was your own.
