Unfortunately, our lives have taken an unexpected turn, and we had to move out. We are currently renting an apartment not far from where are house currently located.
Were we disappointed? Do we miss our house, our home? Yes and yes, but only at first. We are 3 with one on the way, and the truth is that "Home is not a house". Home is what you make out of it. The faster we realize this, the happier we will be no matter where we are.
We have always been thankful for what we have, but I will be the first to admit, that since then, we have come to appreciate even more everything in life. The simple and little things are the ones that probably matter the most.
We have a special appreciation for the non-material stuff. We thank God every day for our health, our family and friend, the good relationships that we keep with our extended family and for all the happy moments that we share with each other.
We love where we live today. It's a lovely community in a Chicago suburb. We have access to a great pool, a gym, walking paths and most importantly, it's the place we call Home.
If something goes wrong, or not the way you planned, look for the positive in it. There is always something good to learn from it.
