Hot Cocoa

If you enjoy hot cocoa or hot chocolate half as what we do, then you have come to the right place today. This recipe will great for the morning breakfast, and afternoon snack or even a late night treat.

Spices is definitely one of our things and with Chocolate I don't hold back, I have been known to add more spices to this simple and delicious recipe. Feel free to be creative!.

By the way you can make a large batch, freeze the leftovers, when you feel like drinking a hot cup of cocoa, scoop a couple of spoon full into a cup, run in the microwave for 2 minutes and enjoy.

Ready in: 20 Minutes (7 Prep - 13 cook)  |  Serves: 4 - 6  |  Complexity: Easy
  • 4 chocolate tablet (We use Embajador)
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 2 Cloves (I prefer whole but you can use powder)
  • 2 Small cinnamon stick
  • Dash of Salt
  • 3 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Our little helper in the kitchen
This is not your typical Hot Chocolate
  1. Place a pot over medium heat add milk, salt, cinnamon, and chocolate; stir constantly until chocolate bars have dissolved.
  2. In a separate container mix evaporated milk with cornstarch, temper with some of the hot mix.
  3. Add evaporated milk mix and remaining ingredients to the hot pot, continue to mix until desired consistency. (it will thicken more after it's cooled down).
If you try it, I'm sure you will whant more and more. By the way if you use a different type of chocolate but you may have to add sugar (Chocolate Embajador is sweet).
Anyway let me know what you think

After helping, how can we not let her have the best of it (it all is great).
