Cream Cheese Stuffed Prunes Wrapped in Bacon

Cream Cheese Stuffed Prunes Wrapped in Bacon is a fast, simple, and yummy appetizer to offer to the entiere family to enjoy. Prunes have so many benefits and at the same time they are so tasty. There are a number a very good recipes, from very simple as this one to including prunes in a elaborated filling or dough.

Prunes can be combined with so many ingredients, I particularly like this recipe because it brings out the sweet and the sawer from the prune and the bacon, and then the cream cheese balances it all out.

In my oppinion this is the perfect combination: Prune, cream cheese and bacon a treat that everyone will love and remember.

Learning Time

Fun educational activities or questions to do with little ones while preparing this recipe.
  • Have you little one count the prunes
  • I take this opportunity to talk to our little Kira (4 years Old) about how good and beneficial for our health is to eat prunes. Giving our children facts from an early age can impact them in the long run. Prunes General facts: help lower Cholesterol, help prevent type 2 diabetes (like grandma has), helps with constipation, contains many vitamins, and much more.
  • While most of us like bacon, I like to tell children what is good and what is not so much, yet I believe that we can enjoy everything as long as we do it in moderation. This being said I told Kira that Bacon is good yet not very good for our bodies and for that reason we should only have it ones in a while. I also told her that there are different types of bacon and we can try to select turkey and low in sodium as much as we can.
  • We defined the word wrapping, and I let her wrap a few of the prunes in the bacon.
  • Lastly as always that we do something in the oven I reminded her how hot the oven get’s and how she should not touch it without our supervision.
Little ones can always learn something new, help them along the way.
Serve these prunes with fuits or nuts...
